Where we came from.
From humble beginnings at Roseberry Secondary School, Kampala Secondary School emerged as a beacon of academic excellence, paving the way for educational evolution in Uganda. Founded by the late Francis Muwonge and Dr. Sarah Nkoge Muwonge, its journey from Nasser Road to its current location on Mwanga Two Road reflects a commitment to growth and innovation.
Initially bursting at the seams with eager learners, the school’s expansion became inevitable. Thus, the construction of its present site became a necessity, accommodating the increasing student population. As the institution flourished, it embraced the new competence-based curriculum, offering a comprehensive array of subjects at both O and A levels.
Today, Kampala Secondary School stands as a testament to its founders’ vision and dedication, nurturing students in both arts and sciences. Its legacy continues to inspire generations, shaping the minds of tomorrow’s leaders.
